I am realizing that I should have gotten foam since I'm only beginning, but if I could stop hitting my head I'd say they are a reasonable price. They weigh about as much as a light broom and for those beginners-go for foam and save your mom the medical bills.

An excellent set of nunchucku. I do recommend to shorter set to most people though I got the longer and they took some getting used to. And it might be wise to also get a repair kit because a lot of practice will wear down the cord quickly.

These are lightweight

I overlooked the fact that these are described as lightweight when I ordered them. I am used to 14 inch rosewood or teakwood nunchucks of the same style and which are significantly heavier. These are a lot less dangerous than my original pair and I am therefore disappointed in that. But they are lightweight as advertised so it is my fault. So these are a toy by comparison.

I bought this as a second pair of chucks and I am definitely going to buy more. These control almost perfectly. They are light weight but still dangerous. I prefer these to chain chucks. I would definitely get these. A must have!!!!

These are great! I had to adjust them, but once I passed that, it's all good; almost makes me want a second one.

As another reviewer mentioned, the cord isn't as long as it appears in the picture. Still, it was very easy to remove and add a longer and stronger cord. I am quite satisfied. Can't beat the price!

The cord length isn't a problem. if it's too short for you, change it.
Note : the standard size of rope or chain should be the width of your hand. Therefore, some people may find the rope just fine, or on the contrary too short or too long.

These chucks have a lot to offer for a roped pair. I find I favor these sometimes over my chain linked ones because the roped ones offer more control and give you more room to perfect style. I Recommend these to everyone looking to perfect their control and understanding of the physics of nunchaku.

I found this nunchaku to be very good for a beginning chucker' they are a good weight and allow for fast speeds while maintaining good control. My only qualm about this nunchaku is it comes with too short a cord between handles, only extensive practice with the chucks' will extend the cord.
