Yes it is Harry but you need to be familiar with the methods in which nunchaku rope is secured to the wooden shafts.

Not the SAME

The thing thats wrong with these are that the nunchakus they show in the picture are slightly different than the ones you receive. There are not three strands of rope, there is two strands of basketball shoelace, and the hardwood isn't as hard as the ones they show in the display picture. I only know this because I had some exactly like those but the rope wore out.

Practice Chucks

These are great for just practicing your motions. I would go a step up for competition or if using aggressively.

poor quality

Chucks came with crack in wood. Rope is stretched and worn to the point of snapping after about two weeks use. I suppose I should have expected as much for the price, but it's still an awful product.

Not good Nunchuku

These are not 1 inch in diameter as they say - they range from 1" at the rope end to 1 3/16 inch at the other - they are overly large for your hands, and are not good for youth or persons with smaller hands.

Hey Adam. When you buy them you get the two "Sticks" attached by the middle chord. That constitutes a pair of nunchaku, which is 9.95.

Length of the Nunchaku

Hello, i am thinking of buying a Nunchaku and was wondering about the length. It says that a the nunchakus are around 12 to 14 inches but im very new to this and was concerned that it might be to small, or is that the normal size?

It actually depends on how big your forearms are - a nunchaku should be about the same length as the distance between the center of your palm and your elbow. The average nunchaku length is 12 inches. Good luck :)

It is also recommended that you make the cord four finger widths across.

cheap beginner set

Waaaay too light. The strings are also way too far apart. Had to adjust the strings, a painstaking process. Fun set for a beginner or for flashy practice. You can't really hurt yourself with these. This set won't hurt a fly. Definitely not a set for real self-defense. I could swear the wood was hollow. Too bad one can't try them before purchase. You get what you pay for here. Am now looking into a real set.

Note to seller: please list weights with all chuk sets. It makes a big difference. Thanks

for the price they are great. The only thing though I would restring them with para-cord. I like mine 3 to 4 fingers distance apart, typical Okinawan Matsumura Seito lenght as was recommended to me by Grandmaster Soken and Hanshi Kise.

I just started training with nunchaku and these have been perfect, when I first got them the cord was a bit too short but I was able to lengthen it, also the paint has been chipping off but its not a big deal. I really prefer the cord to chains. I've had these for about two weeks and am very satisfied with them

I am realizing that I should have gotten foam since I'm only beginning, but if I could stop hitting my head I'd say they are a reasonable price. They weigh about as much as a light broom and for those beginners-go for foam and save your mom the medical bills.

This product was perfect to my taste that I went and bought another pair. You'll love this nunchaku even if it's your first set.

These are lightweight

I overlooked the fact that these are described as lightweight when I ordered them. I am used to 14 inch rosewood or teakwood nunchucks of the same style and which are significantly heavier. These are a lot less dangerous than my original pair and I am therefore disappointed in that. But they are lightweight as advertised so it is my fault. So these are a toy by comparison.

very good

I bought this as a second pair of chucks and I am definitely going to buy more. These control almost perfectly. They are light weight but still dangerous. I prefer these to chain chucks. I would definitely get these. A must have!!!!

These are great! I had to adjust them, but once I passed that, it's all good; almost makes me want a second one.

Not bad

As another reviewer mentioned, the cord isn't as long as it appears in the picture. Still, it was very easy to remove and add a longer and stronger cord. I am quite satisfied. Can't beat the price!
