I was wondering if these are wooden or plastic core? I can't seem to find a foam covered wood nunchaku similar to what I've had for 25+ years. The plastic core ones normally available are too light , making for a difficult transition to a real set. Permalink

Hi Halton. I believe you are looking at plastic core here as well. It's going to be tough to find wooden core as plastic tends to be cheaper and easier to manufacture. If we find a wooden core pair though we'll try to get it into our system for sales.

These are about 12" in length and will break if you repeatedly smack hard objects (otherwise good longevity).

Carrying foam nunchaku is illegal in California. However, if they are stored in a martial arts school facility and not removed there will likely be no problem.
