    What to choose

I have my first (Adult)Sai class in weapons in two weeks. 19.5 seems to be the right size not sure if I should choose octagon or round black or chrome? Do they weight the same?

The length is the most important factor, so it is good you have that squared away. The octagonal vs round issue is really a matter of taste as there is no discernal difference in performance. Some people think that the black sai show less wear and tear than chrome, although when you chip either it tends to show up.

    What size to get?

If my daughter is 5' 2", what size of these black Sais are best to get?

The most fool proof way to get a correct sai measurement is to go to your training facility and ask to see some pairs there. Have your daughter hold the sai with the blade edge pointing down toward her elbow. The point of the sai should be just about at her elbow. Once you find the sai that fits that criteria, you can ask what the size is or measure it yourself.

Great Sai, I have purchased several of these and the Chrome Sai as well, both for personal use and for other people in my program. No real downsides once you can get over the weight. 4 and 1/2 stars ****-

These Sais are excellent for someone who can handle weight, maintaining speed. Twirls precisely, and their density caused immaculate control. Recommended.

    Great Sais

When I got these sais I was a little surprised by the weight but you get used to it quickly regardless of your strength. Well balanced, and packs a punch when making contact with something. I would recommend these for anyone starting sais, or even pros. These are also very durable. Unlike most lighter sais, these are the real deal if you know what I mean. They can handle a lot of abuse. I recommend Octagon to anyone, just because it's easier to control.

    practitioner of juijitsu/tang soo do/ninjitsu/kendo/judo/kung fu/others

Good for practice and a good beginners weapon. The weight is a little hard to get used to but otherwise well balanced. They look excellent in contest. 3.5 stars only because I've got some really nice hand crafted and obviously nicer and I am kinda spoiled by using them regularly.

    They're Crazy

Very good handling and grip and still very flashy. Great look, some of the best I've ever used, and I've used many. Very well made.
