Is there a crossbar?

I would like to get confirmation on whether or not this product has a crossbar. One photo angle appears that it does, the other does not. I would actually PREFER if it did not have the horizontal crossbar, as I wish to display both machetes and swords on the rack, and standard sword racks are too wide to display machetes. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Permalink

Hi Jadde. This item does come with top and bottom crossbars, but you could easily use this product without them. Just set the two vertical rack bars as far apart as you want and secure them to your wall.

It's great for sword display, but the mounting hardware is inadequate for the weight of the swords and we had to rig our own. Permalink

This is a great deal. Product says "7 sword" but when it arrived, there were actually places for 8 - since I had 5 swords and 3 long staffs, it worked out perfect. Permalink

Dania Beach Review of the 7 Sword Wall Mount

I have my product on the wall. Looks great. It was shipped promptly. Good product for the price. My only constructive feedback is, be careful when you put it together. The paint is easy to chip, and the wood molding of which the product is made from, is easy to disolve when you are assemblying ito together. I used a black permanent marker to color in the chips. Other than that, it worked. Looks good. Osu!

This is amazing! I got this for $62 less the then White Oak Mount and it hold just as many swords and it does come with the cross-poeces! Permalink

Utilitarian but functional

This black painted wood rack, standard style, holds 7 swords or bo/sticks. No horizontal cross pieces, so what you're getting for $28 is two vertical, notched, painted pieces of wood. Doesn't say anywhere that there's no cross piece or framework, and in photo it isn't obvious. The horizontal frame's are probably not necessary, but it looks like something is missing to me. Advantage is that you can set the vertical rack pieces at a variety of distances for longer weapons, or sink into studs for stability. Permalink
