I am a person who loves the tonfa, and I have four pairs, some of which I have altered to suit my needs. My problem with a lot of tonfa is that the hand grips are designed for a person with larger hands. This pair fits me like it was a made-to-measure pair, giving me the control I need for figure 8's. I already have a pair of light-weight competition tonfa, and I was unsatisfied with them. The additional weight is what I really needed for Tonfa Kyono Kata. For the first time I can say that just using this pair makes my form look better. One must still practice regularly, and for me, having this pair makes practice more fun. Permalink

I've had these for a couple days now. The construction is very strong and they can definitely take a hit. The weight is a little heavier than round tonfa but I prefer it that way for added power. The caps on the handle are much larger than regular tonfa thus giving a superior grip especially for figure 8's. A wonderful product and great for the money. Permalink
