It's a rubber gun and its great. We need some that look like snub nosed 32 or 38 cal. Some take aways are becoming a bit dependent on using the longer barrel length to break the grip. I want to see this in inventory!! Please.   Permalink

Needed a "pratice weapon' for my handgun classes. Rubber Firearm was a great weight and very durable. Wished the handgun came in different models but for the price I am very pleased. During weapon retention and controll drills help up (so far) very well. Detail was good and ergonomics was adequate.

I needed some inexpensive trainers for disarm drills. These were the least expensive trainers I could find and I honestly wasn't expecting the quality to be very good. However, the quality is excellent, especially for such a low price. Shipping was super fast!

Obviously they don't have the exact same weight or feel of real firearms but that's to be expected from rubber replicas. However, the weight is comparable to a good number of real guns of similar size.

I will most likely be ordering some more of these just to have extras on hand.  Permalink

very realistic and the weight seems correct, for practice of takeaways we need to have a slit in the trigger guard to release the finger, thus avoiding the chance of a broken finger while learning, ,
this gun works better than a 65.00 red man,

Just got it today. I used to train with these a while back in the military and can't wait to apply those old techniques (I don't like pointing my actual pistols regardless of them being unloaded, plus we can drop em).
Anyhoo, my complaint is minor: The version pictured is the 92 Beretta. What I actually got was a different pistol that I'm not too familiar with. No biggy and the average person probably wouldn't notice. The same techniques apply (except for that Jet Li one that is almost impossible to pull off anyway/ Lethal Weapon 4) so I have no problem keeping it.
I don't know if I'd say it has the same weight either but it is a decent feel.
If you aren't picky about what gun you get then go for it. You're gonna get the same training out of it. and it's 7 bucks rather than 25-50 bucks for one more detailed (like Asp).  Permalink

You all need other typical models too. I'm not a gun expert, but there are other types of guns used on the street that we should know how to handle when defending against them.  Permalink

You can't beat the price(very durable gun, which has lasted me over 3 years ago, so I ordered 2 more for my kids.. and service has always been was great! I have ordered several products other than this and even exchanged one order and have not had any issues at all. Have only good things to say about Karate Depot. This is a solid rubber training gun that has life-like weight and shape. Even has all the details of a real gun. If it was black (as I wish it was) it wouldn't be too hard to convince someone at least 10 feet away that it was a real gun. So far it's proven to be very durable. Looks like I could probably paint the gun black for more realistic training as the more real the training gun looks, the more psychologically prepared the trainee is.  Permalink

I have been using this training gun for about a month now. Delivery was fast! The rubber gun has the weight of a real gun; very solid. Use it in my Tae Kwon Do class, and it easily handles the rough abuse we put it through.   Permalink

Well constructed with a fairly realistic feel and very affordable. Very durable for practicing disarms, handgun retention, as well as teaching proper holding positions and tactical movements. nice quality. good sturdy rubber. nice details.size is similar to the real thing. weight is good for training. more detailed then the ones we use in our training class. i will be show my instructor this training gun.i feel it is great for someone who has never held a gun before.gives a more realistic feel when held in hand or against you.  Permalink

Good training aid with excellent bang for your buck $$$-wise... ah, SORRY for the bad pun but this pistol costs a third of what red gun charges and is OK for general classes.

However, Police Depts. and Academies may still require you to purchase a regulation red or blue gun for training so check before purchasing if your an officer. If your a Martial Arts instructor buy a bunch of these for your students use! You do train your students in gun disarming don't you???  Permalink

it's a great tool to 'get your hands on' experience.
Because it smells like rubber...I wrapped the handle and trigger in duct tape.
Because it's yellow, there's no chance it will be mistaken for the real thing.

I have been using these yellow rubber guns for years for disarm practice with students and law enforcement. They are a perfect size for beginnning and intermediate training before using a real gun for practicing. Less chance of injury. I highly recommend them.  Permalink

This is a very good product, it actually came in time too, we were about to practice self defense techniques in Aikido haha, overall, perfect, the yellow safety color makes it extremely safe to work with.  Permalink
