I thought these were great! My father makes me train so hard, but usually the weights are really uncomfortable. But these weren't, so I enjoy using them after school!  Permalink

I bought a set of the 5lbs per ankle ankle weights. About a week after using them, the velcro strap on the back came off. Its only sewn on.


Also, I didn't receive any instruction booklet, directions on proper use, or any short of a picture with a guy wearing wrist weights. I couldn't tell which end was the front until I saw a picture of someone using them on the box, even then, it was hard to figure out.


apparently, there's a certain way that it has to be tightened. If its too loose, they slide down and the velcro strap and weight bars start to cut into your foot and ankle. If its too tight, it cuts off circulation. If its just right, the velcro strap starts to bust its seems which makes it too loose, and then it cuts into your ankle bone.


I'm sure that there would need to be a warning or something about using them too, as they could break or damage your ankle if worn incorrectly. and it probably isn't hard for many people to do that since there's no instructions.

This was my first time purchasing wieghts of any type, so maybe it was my bad, but the weights on these are counted by the total weight of both legs. The ten pound ankle weights actually are five pounds each. Very disappointing if you thought the poundage was double what it really was. Also, the total weight is counting those ten pounds of weights that are included; not five pounds of weight base (each leg) plus five extra pounds of weights. That didn't fool me, but it was still written almost intentionally confusing. Other than that, the product feels nice and secure. It doesn't chaffe and I've been wearing them ever since I got them. They only come off when sleep comes on.  Permalink
